Dear Friends, I have spent a lot of time this last year in trying to figure out what Y2K problems may be like -- a short term "bump in the road" or a longer period of shortages and disruptions? The more I've read, both on-line and off, the less optimistic I am. The good news seems too fluffy and insubstantial and the bad news too detailed and plausible. My areas of concern are:
I hope you have all made some personal preparation for the possibility of Y2K problems. If not, please stock up on water and food and items you need to stay healthy NOW. Fill your car's gas tank and take other precautions recommended by such organizations as the American Red Cross. Time is getting short, and I like to think of us all staying alive and reasonably healthy if things get bad. These are all things that we should be aware of in case of any natural disaster, as well as manmade ones such as Y2K.
