Our speaker was Dr Ann McCampbell, physician and chemical sensitivity activist from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY CONSULTANT

Dr. Ann McCampbell trained in internal medicine and worked in women’s health before she became ill with severe multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) in 1989. She has been a leading chemical sensitivity and disability advocate for the past 20 years. She is Chair of the Multiple Chemical Sensitivities Task Force of New Mexico and a founding board member of the Chemical Sensitivity Foundation.

PHONE CONSULTATIONS

Dr. McCampbell offers phone consultations for people with chemical sensitivity and other environmentally related illnesses. Her services include providing information, referrals, support, research, and advocacy, and helping clients prioritize issues. She does not provide direct medical care, but does help clients find and work with their own physicians.

MULTIPLE CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY BOOKLET

Dr. McCampbell has written an excellent introductory booklet entitled Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. It is a succinct easy-to-read overview that is easy for a layperson to understand. This booklet can be an invaluable resource for those who have recently become chemically sensitive. It has also proven useful in helping educate friends, family members, doctors, government agencies, elected officials, and others about multiple chemical sensitivity. MEDICAL LEGAL CONSULTATIONS

Dr. McCampbell also offers medical legal consultations in cases involving chemical sensitivity and other environmentally related illnesses. These can include social security, workers compensation, veterans and disability benefits, toxic tort, medical benefits, workplace accommodations, housing, divorce, and child custody cases.
