Response to my inquiry regarding e-mail for Gov Davis, and if selecting General Comments was the way to reach him. I also mentioned that members of the disABILITY community may only be able to communicate via e-mail. -- barb
At this time the Governor's Office is putting in place a process to receive and to respond to those wanting to contact him via e-mail. His staff recognize that creating an e-mail account is the easy part. Having staff to read and respond appropriately to the large volume of e-mail that is anticipated requires additional and careful preparation.
We know from our contacts with the Governor's Office that they are very much interested in setting up a such system and are making every attempt to set up the process to ensure that everything runs smoothly from the onset.
The Governor wants to hear from all his constituents. By taking this
extra time at the beginning of his administration to set up an entirely new means of communications, he is doing his best to ensure that the process will work well when it begins.
